With some news faces joining us on the IC Space editorial team, we all want to take the opportunity to say ‘hello’!
We meet regularly to brainstorm ideas for content and the future direction of the site.
We’d love to hear from you about things you’d like us to cover or anything that’s on your mind as an internal communicator.
My day job is director of communications for the Office of Rail and Road but I am also head of profession for internal communications across government, a role I’ve held since 2015.
In this I’m responsible for progression of the practice of IC across GCS and of facilitating appointments to senior IC roles.
I’m the chair of IC Space’s editorial board and a former journalist, although now I write speeches for the Secretary of State for Education.
This isn’t your classic internal comms role although there are overlaps: chiefly you need to understand your audience before you can try and convince them of anything. Then a compelling narrative, whether spoken or written, will take people with you.
I’m the editor of the IC Space and the Internal Communications Manager at the UK Hydrographic Office in Taunton.
I’m a recent addition to the IC Space team and have responsibility for sourcing and curating content. I’m keen to hear from you to learn what you would like from the IC Space.
I’m an Internal Communications Manager at the Health and Safety Executive, based in Liverpool. As someone who always said I’d never work in comms, I found my way here after completing a Creative Writing degree and seeking out a career in the Civil Service.
I work with Tiff and Neall on the IC Space, sourcing and editing content for the site and our social networks.
I work in the Internal Channels team in HMRC and I’m currently leading on introducing live streaming as an internal comms channel in our department.
I’ve been involved with running the IC Space website for about 18 months, commissioning, editing and publishing articles.
I’m responsible for internal communications at the Crown Commercial Service, an Executive Agency of the Cabinet Office and the UK’s largest public procurement body.
We’re going through a period of rapid growth, with lots of new commercial specialists joining the organisation. Internal communications is a crucial part of ensuring that our new starters quickly come to feel part of the organisation – ready to deliver on our objective of helping the public sector to save time and money when buying common goods and services.
I’m the Internal Communications Manager at the Financial Conduct Authority, working in the Strategy and Competition area.
I’m a Board Director of the Institute of Internal Communication. I began my career as an IC Executive in the Financial Services Sector. Currently I’m CEO of VMA Group, an International Communications Recruitment business, with a specialist focus in Internal Communications recruitment and career development.
I work for the internal comms team at HM Land Registry, based in the Swansea Office. My main responsibility is to write and edit news and features for our intranet and work on internal campaigns.
I have been in government communications for the last 13 years, leading a variety of communications teams. I got involved with the IC Space as I am passionate about sharing best practice and helping GCS internal communications to be the best that it can be.
I’m Head of Internal Communications in the Policy and Corporate Centre, at the Home Office.
